Three Drams is a monthly whiskey tasting subscription solely with a focus on Irish whiskey. Each month they send subscribers three different 30ml whiskey samples, which are sampled on a live virtual interactive tasting streamed across Facebook, and YouTube.
This gives individuals the opportunity to sit back in the comfort of your own home and engage directly to the master distillers, founders and ambassadors who brought you these spirits. These live streams take place towards the end of each month and are hosted by yours truly.
October 2022’s tasting takes place on the 26th of the month at 8pm Irish time. This tasting is proving to be one of the most exciting yet, featuring the Best New Make Whiskey Spirit in Ireland (as per the World Whiskies Awards) showcasing the winners of the last three years.
On the night, subscribers will be joined by the flavour makers and creators behind Clonakilty Distillery’s 50%M/ 50%B Single Pot Still New Make (winner 2020), Boann Distillery’s 40%M/ 55%B/ 3.75%O/ 1.25%R Single Pot Still New Make (winner 2021) as well as Pearse Lyon’s Distillery’s 60%M/ 35%B/ 5%O.
Each distillery will be on hand to answer your questions about these completely differentiated spirits, on the night, and I personally am looking forward to seeing these three spirits in one line up.
This fantastically interesting tasting is showcasing the very best of the future of Irish whiskey. All three spirits have won the Best New Make Spirit in Ireland over the last three years. Interestingly, with the judges picking a Single Pot Still spirit each time, showcasing the strong future for this category in Ireland.
