Last week Dingle Distillery launched it’s first ever age statement whiskey with their limited edition 10 year old single malt.
This decade old whiskey, marks the first 10 year old whiskey distilled and released by one of the new wave of Irish distilleries. 237 bottles were released at a healthy cask strength ABV of 58.1% with an RRP of €385 a bottle.
This single cask whiskey was the first age statement whiskey to be released by the distillery and proved a massive hit with collectors and imbibers alike. All 237 bottles were snapped up within hours of release, with online retails and the distillery store, seeing massive volumes of traffic hitting the sales pages, looking to purchase a bottle of Dingle Distillery’s history.
Elliot Hughes, Managing Director of Dingle Distillery, explains why the new 10-year-old release is so special: “We are delighted to launch our Dingle 10-year-old Single Malt whiskey. Having had ample time to mature and develop its unique flavour profile, the result is a smooth and complex whiskey. It is a testament to the dedication and craftsmanship of our distillery team. At Dingle Distillery, we always endeavour to create special and unique products and we think this is evident in our 10-year-old whiskey. It’s a dram to savour and we can’t wait for Dingle whiskey fans to try it.”
Sell out limited releases were commonplace in the first number of years in Dingle’s time on the growing Irish whiskey market, and it is positive to see that the fervour for the brand is still present among fans of Irish whiskey.
The ten year old malt is only one of the most recent releases from Dingle Distillery, whom are hot on the trail of multiple interesting, limited releases this year.
